This is a platform to create more awareness for our local veterans while also giving them the ability to feel more comfortable and excepted in there community. Over half of all veterans suffer from PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) which causes flashbacks, night terrors, elevated anxiety attacks, and sometimes uncontrollable outbursts when triggered. In some cases this disorder cannot be overturned. Not only do we all remember where we were during the 9/11 terrorist attacks but also how we felt seeing the planes crash into the towers one after the other. This organization is taking the needed steps to offer the heroes that responded to the incident a chance to connect with there community. The shirt proceeds go straight to the nonprofit organization which then gets funneled back to events that are helping these veterans. With everything going on with current politics and people choosing sides i hope we all choose to support the people defending us either in america or in other countries.
This organization will provide a platform where we integrate veterans into local charity events to encourage a sense of community and inspire through actions showing who we are behind the uniform. By building a strong community through social outreach and neighborhood events we can change some of the negative stigmas surrounding OIF and OEF veterans.
Also, i want to make a special thank you to the organizer John Robinson for taking the initiative to make a difference in our communities and in these veterans lives.
