What makes a hero? Is it a job description, like a firefighter or police officer who serve communities by keeping us safe? Is it a teacher that molds our youth? Or perhaps a doctor that heals the sick or a soldier that puts their life on the line to defend our freedoms? Most days heroes are overlooked and taken for granted. We couldn’t imagine life without them, and life as we know it would not exist without the sacrifice and service of the heroes all around us.
